BE MY PRAYER PARTNER

I remember when I was quite young in faith, we had prayer partners, it was a common thing then. While in school and on campus many people had people they go places together on agreed time to pray with.

As a married young man I still kept this practice with few friends, many of whom are married too but time and chance and pressure of life have separated many of such wonderful friendships.

Today, the idea of prayer partner is fainting and dying. Many are on their own, yet even in our lonely battles, what a wonder it will be if someone somewhere is talking to God for you and about you for good.

“For at that time day by day there came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host of God” (1 Chronicles 12:22)

In the history of the kings of Judah and Israel, the Bible mentioned some special men in 2 Samuel 23 and 1 Chronicles 11, they were called The Mighty Men of David, thirty and seven in all. David had several men who were sympathetic to his course (1 Samuel 22:2), mostly untrained but overtime there was a massive transformation, the bunch of uncoordinated civilians became a well organised army comparable to the Host of God in strength and might (1 Chronicles 12:22).

At the beginning they were about 400 but of these were the thirty and seven who were the closest to David, they were his prayer partners, men who will do the extra and indeed went the extra miles with David even at great personal cost (2 Samuel 23:15-18), they fought side by side with the man of God until they themselves became great with the God of the man.

Those in your spiritual inner caucus will determine the length and the depth of your walk with God and how many personal spiritual victories you attain in life. Your spiritual senses is as good as those with whom you hold hands in the place of prayer. Your prayer partners are the mirror of your spiritual victories.

Make me and my friends your prayer partners, you need us as much as we need you. Send your prayer requests to us, and together with ours as well we can talk to God together.

Nothing is impossible when we hold each others hand in the place of prayer. Doing it alone is good, but doing it together is easier and better.

Please take this very seriously, I believe we both need it. We don’t just pray for you, we also help you to pray for yourself and for your own. Iron sharpens iron, His grace in us will rob on yours and surely together we can grow into an organised army comparable only to the Hosts of God, Himself being the Captain and the Commander in Chief of our host. They walked with the man of God and they had the testimony that they became great with the God of the man. Pray with us for God has spoken good concerning us (Numbers 10:29).
