In May 2017,
Hubby and I visited his cousin with our daughters. It was a tight estate so parking was a bit tricky.
When we were ready to leave, we saw the neighbour driving home so we waited for him to drive past us (the road was narrow). We had put the engine on but we were not moving. The man hit us as he was trying to park and came out accusing us of reversing and hitting him. We weren’t moving.
Hubby called the insurance company and was advised not to claim for damages because it was his word against ours, there was no independent witness.

2 years later we get a letter saying we owe over £3000 for repairs etc to the other man’s car. The insurance company was ready to pay it but my hubby said no. Once the company pays for damages to a car, your insurance premium becomes more expensive. I was ready for them to just pay but my hubby was insistent because we hadn’t caused the accident because we were stationary at the time.

This morning was the trial in court. It was interesting. When I read the guy’s statement 2 days ago, I saw he had added some stories to his version of events and I was concerned. We took it to God and decided to leave it in His Hands.

At court today, my hubby and I statements were quite different because we remembered the incident differently. The other man’s lawyer tried to use that to discredit our case.
My husband is quite soft spoken except for some cases when he feels he is being cheated. But to God be ALL the Glory, he was calm and kept his voice cool. I was the one who let my irritation show.

God prevailed and we found favour. The judge ruled that he couldn’t prove we were in reverse when the collision happened and dismissed the case. She went on to commend my hubby’s composure. And commented on how it was odd that my statement didn’t match my husbands. (We didn’t try to cook the story. We recounted it as we remembered it).

The lawyer even asked that my husband and I be reimbursed the wages lost by having to take the day off to go to court today and the judge approved.

That is my awesome testimony my brother.
Not only that, The Lord put compassion in our hearts for the other guy. There was no gloating, rather, it was a bit of empathy that he lost.

In all, God did it!!!!

To cough out over £3000 that have accumulated and lied in wait for 2 years, especially when in the right is a little too much for anyone.
